Lincoln Bar Kitchen Take Over

Lincoln Bar Kitchen Take Over

It was fate since the Pacquiao vs Bradley 3 fight... They needed food, we provided. The rest is history.

The good guys at Lincoln Bar, Ro, Diko and Johnny have teamed up with Flip 'n Patties to create the next level gastro pub in Houston. The past couple months have been the soft opening stages, feeling out some of our new items and getting our feet wet in the new kitchen. We gotta say, it feels kind of nice being in a kitchen with A/C again. There will be an official grand opening day with goodies and tons of fun.

Come check us out and drink, eat and socialize.

p.s. don't worry, the Flip-Mobile will still be running the streets.

Mr & Mrs Unicorn Masters Wedding Day

Mr & Mrs Unicorn Masters Wedding Day

Congratulations to one of our biggest supports since the beginning, Mr. Shane aka "The Unicorn Master". At least that's the name we gave him.

The Unicorn Master first blessed us with his presence one evening at The Marquis II and tried our food. As he was leaving, he stopped by speaking the never forgotten words, "Your food is like unicorns spewing out of my mouth!." And voila, unicorns became a thing for Flip 'n Patties. Unicorns EVERYWHERE!

Flip 'n Patties had the pleasure of serving their wedding and being a part of this special moment and we personally thank you and congratulate the both of you on your new adventure in life. Cheers to the both of you and many blessings always.

One Year Anniversary

One Year Anniversary

It has been a rough food truck ride, but we made it through the year. Thank you Flipsters, Houston and to all our supporters! Most importantly, thank you to our families, we love you. It was definitely a fun and exciting HOT day. We hope you all enjoyed our traditional Filipino dishes we presented and the face painting done by the very talented Tyn Redor! There has been a lot learned and a lot of growth has been made, but we are still learning and still growing. Cheers to many more years Houston.

Thank You Houston

Thanks to Houston’s Flipn’ awesome networked Food Truck community, Flip ‘n Patties has received numerous amounts of recognition from some local media.  We would like to thank all the #Flipsters out there, we would not have been recognized without you.

We announced the launch of our ideas in late March.  With a couple of retweets from variousFood Trucks in the Houston Area such as Bare BowlsHappy EndingsGood Dog Hot Dogs, and NOLA2Geaux, we have grown to almost 400 followers in a time frame of one month. We are humbly grateful for the closely knit Food Truck Community here in Houstonwho all support one another!

The comments of “we can’t wait to try your food” and “finally a Filipino food truck in Houston!,” to name a few, have kept us motivated to perfect the first Filipino American cuisine served in a food truck from Houston.

Below are some articles and posts that have mentioned us in this past month.  THANKS HOUSTON FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! #Flipsters Unite!

Flip 'n Patties Logo

Flip 'n Patties Logo

The Flip ‘n Patties logo is inspired by the Philippines Flag. Check out the meaning of each element we incorporated in our logo through the image above. At a glance, it might be a little overwhelming, but due to the nature of our Mobile Food Truck business, we needed something that would symbolize who we are and what we serve with the blink of an eye. We are Filipinos’ who serve juicy “brighten up your day” type burgers and delicious “Heaven in your mouth” type Filipino Street Food. =)

We hope you come to appreciate and enjoy our brand… and especially our food!

Gourmet Burgers

Gourmet Burgers

Flip ‘n Patties is the FIRST EVER Food Truck to bring you gourmet in-house ground Akaushi burgers on housemade steamed buns! These steamed buns are handcrafted and always made fresh. Being that these buns are steamed, it has a fluffy, slightly dense texture that keeps the patty and all of its juices in-between the buns and not in your hands... Most of the time ;)

Flip-Mobile Food Truck Adventures

Flip-Mobile Food Truck Adventures

We bought our food truck from this lovely couple, Patty (left of Papapnoi) & Bert (right of Papapnoi), out in the boonies, Goodrich, Texas. We ventured out to Goodrich, Texas, a place we knew nothing about and had never been. As we pulled up to their home, which was located down a dirt road in a small neighborhood, we were hesitant to go down. It seemed like it was a perfect opportunity for one of those horror flick nightmares to occur. We loaded up the shotgun and rang the doorbell. Greeted by a tall man, coughing his lungs out, we quickly drew out our shotgun and asked if he was Bert! jk… Long story short, we greeted, met, chatted and left with the truck.

Halfway down the road, right before we hit the freeway, truck shuts off. We immediately grabbed the shotgun. No just kidding. Truck ran out of gas and Bert was kind enough to come fill us up. One problem, the truck still didn’t work. Bert hustled to get his tools and crawled under and over the truck trying to get it started. Keep in mind, he was doing this in pitch darkness, late at night. Truck finally starts and we are on our way to the gas station to fill ‘er up. We make Bert follow just in case it breaks down again. We get to the gas station, fill up and turn the ignition switch. NO DICE. We look at each other, WTFudgePops! Bert is back hustling to get it started again. We contemplate leaving and getting our money back. Bert assures us everything is a quick fix, trying his best to keep the sale. Finally, after almost an hour, he gets it started. WOOT WOOT! We discuss the situation, made a couple calls, took our shotgun and were Houston Bound!

What almost turned into a nightmare, ended up working out. Gotta love the food truck business!

Thank You Bert and Patty!
